Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Director to lead large-scale transformation projects within the banking sector. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing complex programs and driving digital and operational transformations in financial institutions. This role requires strong leadership, deep industry knowledge, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams and senior stakeholder relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Leadership: Lead large-scale transformation projects from initiation through completion, overseeing planning, resource allocation, timelines, and risk management.
  • Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for senior stakeholders, ensuring strategic vision is reflected in program goals. Communicate status, risks, and issues effectively.
  • Team Management & Collaboration: Mentor and lead cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and alignment with program objectives. Manage dependencies and resolve issues.
  • Transformation Strategy: Develop and implement strategies for digital and operational transformations, ensuring alignment with business goals and IT roadmap.
  • Governance & Risk Management: Establish governance frameworks, monitor risks, and implement mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with business, technical, and regulatory requirements.
  • Budget & Resource Management: Manage program budgets and resources efficiently, ensuring delivery within scope, time, and budget.
  • Change Management: Oversee organizational change management processes, ensuring stakeholder engagement, training, and readiness.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring expectations are met throughout the transformation process.
Required Experience
  • 15+ y ears of program/project management experience, with focus on large-scale banking transformations.
  • Proven track record managing complex programs in financial services, including digital and operational initiatives.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing senior stakeholder relationships.
  • Deep understanding of banking sector: digital banking, regulatory compliance, risk management, operational transformation.
  • Specific experience with banking core system replacements, digital banking platforms, or large IT-driven transformations.
  • Expertise in large-scale change management initiatives in re gulated industries.
Leadership Skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor teams.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
  • Effective communicator with strong presentation and facilitat ion abilities.
Travel Requirements
  • Ability t o travel at least 3 days per week.
  • Occasional international travel may be r equired.
Educational Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • Certifications: PMP, PgMP, or equivalent program management cert ifications.
