Job summary

Credence seeks a Program Design Support Specialist IV embedded in the Office of Assistance Coordination (NEA/AC) within the DOS to coordinate foreign assistance programs across the Middle East and North Africa. The role supports policy direction, budgeting, monitoring, and interagency collaboration.

The position requires analytical expertise in foreign assistance, ability to work with embassies and partners, and a Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of USG foreign policy and foreign assistance.
• Ability to gather and retain information and make informed recommendations.
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams and offices.
• Knowledge of and experience in the Middle East and North Africa preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with implementing partners to support management of foreign assistance projects.
• Support program coordination, design, and management across NEA offices and bureaus.
• Develop strategies to implement projects and achieve objectives.
• Evaluate project operations for alignment with USG goals; suggest improvements.
• Draft memos, briefing materials, and talking points for NEA leadership.
• Lead drafting and review of funding solicitations and proposals.
• Review performance reports and data; address issues and update NEA/AC databases.
• Advise on coordination issues for departments and interagency colleagues.
• Communicate US assistance strategy to Congress, policymakers, and international partners.
• Foster cross-portfolio cooperation and knowledge sharing within NEA/AC.
