Northrop Grumman in Dulles, VA, invites a Program Cost Control Analyst – Level 3 or 4 to join our Space Sector. You will help prepare budgets, schedules, funding profiles, and variance analyses, supporting funding requests to the government and ensuring timely, accurate cost control across programs.

This role follows a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off. Candidates should have a relevant degree and security clearance, plus strong MS Office and EVM experience for successful cost management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of professional experience or Master’s with 3+ years.
  • Active U.S. Government Top-Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope.
  • Experience with financial analysis or reporting.
  • Experience with MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Set up cost control system, monitor and control costs and schedules on contracts requiring validated cost schedule control system.
  • Support audits and reviews requested by programs, customers, and company management, fact-finding and negotiation support.
  • Perform analysis and prepare reports in order to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines.
  • Perform Earned Value Metric (EVM) tasks including Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) development, budget baseline, cost risk analysis/ assessment and visibility reports, development and analysis of estimates to complete.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Our Program Cost Control Analyst will help prepare budgets and schedules for contract work and assist with financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlooks, cash forecasting and variance analysis. You will also work to ensure adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures, directing preparation for expenditure projections and submitting timely requests for additional funding to the government.

This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off. This position can be filled at a Level 3 or 4.

In This Job, You Will

Basic Qualifications - Level 3
  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 3+ years of professional experience
  • Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree
  • Requires an active U.S. Government Top-Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope
  • Experience with financial analysis or reporting
  • Experience with MS Office Suite

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 6+ years of professional experience
  • Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degreeRequires an active U.S. Government Top-Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope
  • Experience with financial analysis or reporting
  • Experience with MS Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or Business Administration
  • Defense industry experience

  • Experience with FAR/DFAR
  • Experience with Costpoint, Cobra, Primavera or SAP

Primary Level Salary Range: $94,200.00 - $141,200.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $117,500.00 - $176,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
