Job summary

The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is seeking a Program Coordinator to join our team. You will coordinate forms, maintain records, and support law enforcement by consolidating data to inform investigations, with a focus on vehicle storage and lien processes.

Ideal candidates will manage workloads, communicate clearly, provide courteous customer service, and collaborate with external agencies. Monday–Friday 8:00am–5:00pm, NC location.

Qualifications

• Ability to organize workload, prioritize competing assignments, and complete work accurately, efficiently and within established timelines.
• Skill in providing professional, courteous, and effective customer service by telephone to the general public.

• Ability to accurately enter, update, and maintain electronic data.
• Ability to recognize discrepancies, potential violations, or matters requiring additional review and refer those matters to appropriate supervisory personnel.
• Ability to work effectively and professionally with external agencies, State Highway Patrol employees, and customers by fostering respectful, cooperative, and positive working relationships.
• Basic knowledge of State Highway Patrol operations and policies.
• Experience with programs used by members assigned to the Notice and Storage Section, e.g. MILES, STARS, SADLS, etc.

• Leverages technology and recorded information to provide analysis and investigative assistance to law enforcement officials by consolidating collected data to facilitate valuable information to enhance law enforcement investigative efforts.
• Serves as a key resource in the identification, unveiling and prevention of criminal occurrences as it relates to DMV credentials and motor vehicles.
• Cites statutory requirements and provides interpretations of North Carolina laws that govern various situations involving storage of vehicles.
• Accountable for collecting revenues and reconciling monies daily.
• Works closely with stakeholders, internal and external law enforcement entities and other DMV business units to combat fraud in the various forms it may occur.

The North Carolina State Highway Patrol's primary mission is to reduce collisions and make the highways of North Carolina as safe as possible. The NCSHP has more than 1,600 troopers who cover nearly 80,000 miles of North Carolina roadways, more than any other state except Texas. In addition to enforcing the state's traffic laws, state troopers also guide traffic during hurricane evacuations, re-route traffic around hazardous chemical spills, and they stand ready should any act of terrorism occur. State Troopers are committed to protecting North Carolina's motoring public.

Salary Range

Recruitment Range: $47,703-$66,340 Annually

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution AND two (2) years of experience related to the area of assignment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
