Job summary

The State of North Carolina, Department of Transportation, is seeking a Program Coordinator I (S) to provide exceptional customer service at the Raleigh Central Services Office. You will assist customers with vehicle registrations, titles, and NC credentials, while applying NC General Statutes and agency policies to ensure accurate, compliant transactions.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience, with strong data-entry and payment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Experience with computers and mainframe databases; ability to handle payments and transactions.
• Ability to apply state statutes, policies, and procedures to registrations and titles.
• Strong customer service and data-entry skills; accurate record keeping and processing.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with vehicle registrations, title transactions, and NC credentials.
• Apply NC General Statutes and policies related to motor vehicle titles and registrations.
• Issue license plates per established requirements.
• Process requests for crash reports and provide access to records with privacy guidelines.
• Accept and process payments for penalties, fees, and transactions.
• Provide courteous, professional service ensuring compliant and efficient transactions.
• Support the unit's operation with additional duties as assigned.
