The State Treasurer’s Office is seeking an inquisitive and detail-oriented claims analyst in the Unclaimed Property Program (UPP) that is passionate about our mission of returning unclaimed property to its rightful owners. Provides expertise in the area of claims and customer service.
Serves as a backup for other team members as needed to ensure continuity of service to constituents.
Agency Minimum Qualifications:
The State Treasurer's Office promotes a culture that is a fast‑paced environment that supports high performance, exceptional work product, accountability and collaboration. Position requires critical thinking, research skills, detailed documentation and the ability to effectively communicate with the general public including representatives of companies that remit unclaimed property. Excellent written and verbal skills are required. Ability to plan and organize work activities and prioritize task completion according to established schedules and goals. Ability to multi‑task and simultaneously navigate multiple online computer systems. Proficient in Microsoft Office products and adaptable to learning other proprietary computer systems. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
May require occasional in‑state travel and very limited overnight travel. Must be able to safely lift and carry files, books and reports weighing up to 25 lbs. Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for intermittent periods of time. Must be able to reach, bend, and twist at the waist to perform filing, deskwork and operate general office equipment.
