Tohono O'odham Nation in Sells, AZ seeks an experienced program administrator who can plan, organize and coordinate activities, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with standards.

The incumbent will supervise staff, evaluate performance, manage grants and contracts, develop goals, and prepare reports and training materials while building partnerships across departments and with community organizations. Strong communication and travel within Nation boundaries are required.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Business Administration or closely related field.
  • Four years' work experience in management of a program or equivalent.
  • One-year supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, organizes, coordinates and administers the activities of the program.
  • Evaluates program effectiveness and reports on success.
  • Supervises, trains and evaluates staff, assigns work and priorities.
  • Monitors grants, program contracts and contractor performance.
  • Develops and establishes program goals and objectives.
  • Coordinates training, informational materials, and liaises with other departments.
  • Establishes and maintains liaison relationships with agencies and groups.
  • Coordinates meetings to resolve problems and discuss goals.
  • Prepares program activity reports and statistical materials for management review.
  • Participates in staff development and training programs.
