Job summary

The Southern Regional Education Board (SREB) in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Program Coordinator to keep projects moving, track deadlines, maintain contacts, and draft agendas. This role supports a program team in a grant-funded environment and requires dependable, detail-oriented collaboration.

The position combines in-office and remote work, requiring 2–4 years of PM or administrative experience, strong organization, strong writing, and willingness to travel overnight.

Qualifications

  • Two to four years of project management or administrative support experience.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage several ongoing tasks and deadlines at once.
  • Clear, accurate writing and editing skills for presentations, reports, and correspondence.
  • Professional, easygoing manner with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel data functions and general office software; ability to learn program-specific tools.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the processes, reports, and agreements that keep the program area running smoothly.
  • Compile and organize data for reporting, including charts and tables for annual reports.
  • Help plan and coordinate meetings, conferences, and workshops, including logistics with other staff and partners.
  • Serve as a point of contact for program members and partners, answering questions by phone and email.
  • Assist with producing presentations, reports, newsletters, and other materials.
  • Maintain an accurate, up-to-date contacts database for the program.
  • Maintain relationships with program members, partners, participants, and state agencies.
  • Partner with the program manager and Communications staff on website content and e-communications.
  • Contribute ideas and support to strengthen how the team serves its members and partners.
