Job summary

Averett University invites applications for the position of Vice President for Enrollment Management (VPEM). The role leads recruitment and enrollment for traditional and online students, reporting to the President and overseeing Admission, Financial Aid, Averett Online, and Averett Central.

The VPEM will strengthen the student experience, align enrollment services, and grow traditional undergraduate enrollment while expanding online offerings.

Qualifications

Job description

With approximately 1,000 students—750 traditional students and 250 online students—Averett University offers a variety of associate and bachelor’s degree programs. The university is recognized for distinctive academic offerings, including its Flight School program, Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Management, and Equestrian Studies degree. Averett also competes in NCAA Division III athletics.

The Opportunity

Averett University invites applications and nominations for the position of Vice President for Enrollment Management (VPEM). The university seeks an agile, energetic, and entrepreneurial enrollment leader to join its senior leadership team and help position Averett for sustained strength and success in a changing higher education landscape.

The VPEM role has been expanded to encompass the recruitment and enrollment of both traditional, in-person students and online students. Reporting directly to the President, the VPEM will provide leadership for the offices of Admission and Financial Aid, Averett Online, and Averett Central—the university’s developing one-stop center designed to serve the needs of prospective and current students.

A key priority for the VPEM will be evaluating and further developing the functionality of Averett Central while strengthening the student experience and creating greater alignment across enrollment services. The VPEM will also lead efforts to grow traditional undergraduate enrollment and expand Averett’s online student offerings.

What You’ll Do

• Lead recruitment and enrollment strategies for both traditional, in-person and online student populations.

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of five-seven years of professional experience in higher education.
• Minimum of three years of experience in a director-level role, or higher.
• Demonstrated experience using innovative, outside-the-box strategies to generate increased university enrollment.
