Job summary

The Arc Southern Chesapeake is hiring a Program Coordinator to oversee Direct Support staff, schedule planning, and daily operations across homes in the Tri-County area. Travel between sites and after-hours coverage are required to ensure safety and quality of living for individuals with disabilities.

Responsibilities include staff hiring support, training, documenting plans, and working within budget guidelines to maintain the highest standard of care.

Qualifications

• Two years of progressively responsible experience working with people with developmental and intellectual disabilities or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Must have knowledge of community resources and strong interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work anywhere within the Tri-County area (Calvert, Charles and St. Mary’s counties).
• Must pass criminal background check and have a valid driving license.

Responsibilities

• Schedule planning and staff review.
• Maintain staffing ratios and approve leave or timecards.
• Fill in for staff to cover shifts and assist with hiring.
• Provide orientation and feedback to new staff; mentor DSPs.
• Monitor plans, ensure proper documentation, and review incidents.
