Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Program Assistant to support our rehabilitation program on the 2nd shift. You will maintain center security, orient new beneficiaries, lead weekly meetings, supervise medication calls, respond to inquiries, and document incidents.

This part-time position offers comprehensive benefits, flexible scheduling, and weekend availability. 40 hours per week with Sunday through Saturday days, evenings, and weekends are required to meet program

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Previous managerial experience preferred.
• Valid Driver's License with ability to qualify for Salvation Army insurance.

Responsibilities

• Enforce house rules and maintain center security.
• Conduct beneficiary orientations and facility tours.
• Lead weekly house meetings and supervise medication calls.
• Respond to beneficiary inquiries and emergencies.
• Complete incident reports and Safe From Harm documentation.
• Maintain daily reports and electronic data entries.
