Responsibilities

As the Program Coordinator, you will provide operational and leadership support to the Program Manager to ensure effective site management. Your primary focus will be supervising, coaching, and mentoring staff using best practices and behavioral management techniques. Specific responsibilities include:

Coaching & Leadership
  • Provide comprehensive training to new employees.
  • Mentor staff by demonstrating best practices and behavioral management techniques.
  • Observe staff-client interactions for coaching and training purposes.
  • Oversee daily schedules and staff adherence, including transitions.
  • Implement scheduling changes as needed.
  • Offer regular feedback to staff on performance improvements.
  • Communicate concerns and progress to the Program Manager.
  • Assist with scheduling, interviewing, and problem resolution.
  • Participate in team meetings to review cases and develop programming solutions.
Direct Care
  • Understand the client population and treatment plans.
  • Reinforce positive behaviors and use proactive intervention techniques.
  • Apply behavior management and de-escalation techniques.
  • Help clients develop self-awareness and self-correction skills.
Minimum Requirements

High School diploma and 2+ years of experience working with children in a mental health setting. Leadership experience and/or a Bachelor’s in Human Services or related field preferred. Additional requirements include:

  • Establishing appropriate boundaries with clients and staff.
  • Responding calmly to issues and de-escalating situations.
  • Being dependable and setting a good example.
  • Providing constructive feedback and building trust.
  • Expressing positivity and commitment to the program.
