The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Program Assistant to deliver administrative and programmatic support within the Biomedical Informatics and AI division. You will work with faculty and staff across the Department of Public Health Sciences and Hollings Cancer Center, assisting with the Cancer Integrated Data-Enabled Resource (CIDER) and other major initiatives.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in data science, health informatics, business administration, healthcare administration, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of administrative or program support experience in information technology, public health, healthcare, or academic research settings.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office;
• Experience with health systems, academic environments, data science tools and/or biomedical research processes is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage professionally with patients, faculty, and external stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Provide administrative and program support to research faculty and staff, including managing calendars and coordinating meetings; serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support faculty and program leadership with travel, document preparation, expense tracking, reimbursements, and invoice processing in line with grant guidelines.
• Facilitate cross-department coordination to track program deliverables and timelines.
• Coordinate scheduling and logistics for program activities and events; assist with calendar management and meeting prep.
• Support financial and administrative aspects including budget tracking and reporting, ensuring compliance with policies and grant requirements.
• Contribute to process improvements and support special projects to advance program and research goals.
