Job summary

The Program Assistant at MUSC supports faculty and staff within the division of Biomedical Informatics and AI at the Department of Public Health Sciences and Hollings Cancer Center, focusing on the Cancer Integrated Data-Enabled Resource (CIDER) and other large initiatives.

This role coordinates day-to-day operations of internally and externally funded programs with emphasis on biomedical and clinical informatics, data science and AI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
• 1–2 years of administrative or program support experience.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Experience with health systems, academic environments, data science tools, or biomedical research preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engagement with patients, faculty, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and program support to faculty and staff, including calendars, meetings, correspondence, and stakeholder contact.
• Assist with travel coordination, document preparation, expense tracking, and invoice processing per grant guidelines.
• Coordinate activities across departments, manage deliverables and timelines, and support workflow management.
• Schedule and logistics support for meetings, events, and program initiatives; assist with calendar management and preparation.
• Support budget tracking, reporting, and compliance with policies and confidentiality standards.
