WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Under general direction and supervision from the DPS Aviation Program Coordinator 2, maintains all aircraft records in accordance with FAA regulations and State retention policies. Researches and analyzes electronic logbooks for 49 aircraft operated by DPS, enters and analyzes aircraft information in sophisticated online aircraft maintenance software, maintains on-line databases for aircraft records, updates physical logbooks, and oversees aircraft paperwork storage methods.

THE WORKING CONDITIONS YOU CAN EXPECT:

This position is located and based out of our Anchorage-based Aircraft Section at Lake Hood.

The work environment is friendly, team-oriented, and productive. You will share an office environment that includes other professionals. The successful applicant must be able to work with frequent interruptions, be self-motivated, and be able to work well with others to be successful in this position.

The work schedule is 5 days on and 2 days off. This position does not offer housing, nor does it offer someone living outside of Anchorage paid travel to and from the worksite.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Aircraft Maintenance

: Knowledge of aircraft engines, parts, and systems, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

Clerical:

Knowledge of filing, typing, entering data, maintaining records, taking shorthand, and using and completing forms.

Computer Skills:

Uses computers, software applications, databases, and automated systems to accomplish work.
