Job summary

Raytheon is seeking a Program Chief Engineer in McKinney, TX, to oversee engineering cost, schedule, and technical execution for Crane and USMC contracts. This onsite role requires a Secret clearance and leads cross-disciplinary teams across design engineering and program leadership.

The position emphasizes technical baseline establishment, lifecycle management, and strong customer engagement to shape future system strategy and sustainment. Travel ~15% and relocation support are possible.

Qualifications

STEM degree preferred; science/engineering background.
Experience with airborne electro-optic sensing design, integration, test, flight qualification, deployment, and production.
Experience presenting technical data to technical and non-technical audiences and stakeholders.
Experience in a Lead Design Engineer, Program Chief Engineer, or IPTL role.
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret Security Clearance required.

Responsibilities

Establish technical baseline, roadmap, and product line strategy; support proposals across the product line.
Manage program lifecycles including production, field support, EMD, and technology transition.
Serve as primary technical contact to Customer engineering counterparts and manage inquiries within contract scope.
Collaborate with Global Navy leadership to advise on future system strategy and sustainment.
Review and approve cost, schedule, and budget data for EACs and program-level proposals.
Lead across multidisciplinary teams including design engineering, supplier management, and program leadership.
Travel approximately 15%.
