Job summary

RTX Corporation is seeking a Program Chief for the Computing Products Department (CPD) in the DCCN directorate. The role leads engineering for avionics product lines, guiding design, development, and transition to production across commercial and military domains.

You will partner with management, manufacturing, and customers to deliver on cost, schedule, and technical performance commitments. The position emphasizes leadership, collaboration, and strong technical judgment in processing

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and minimum 10 years of experience or an advanced degree with minimum 7 years of experience.
• Experience in Avionics product development and lifecycle.
• Experience managing technical projects including schedule, EV management, risk management, customer interaction, and briefing executive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Ensure overall Engineering execution within the program and decision authority over Engineering activities across all program phases.
• Manage budget and schedule for program Engineering tasks; review execution to ensure schedule and cost targets are met.
• Develop Estimates at Completion (EAC) for the program with Engineering Cost Account Managers.
• Ensure staffing forecasts are accurate and up to date; work with engineering organizations to assign resources.
• Provide oversight of program metrics and apply TPMs to measure progress and assess risk.
• Oversee risks and opportunities across the program and coordinate with enterprise to mitigate key risks.
• Ensure compliance with RLPM processes and design plans.
• Lead a range of engineers from entry-level to senior-level; demonstrate technical expertise in processing platforms.
• Stay aware of key technologies and RTX’s competitive position.
