Job summary

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) in New York, NY is seeking a Program Associate in the Affiliate Support and Nationwide Initiatives Department to support the Program and Strategy Team. The role is hybrid, with in-office requirements two days per week or eight days per month.

The role supports capacity building and connection with 54 state affiliates and their staff, coordinating meetings, data collection, budgeting, and program development to advance civil liberties and civil rights

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating programs and administration.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Asana.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication; teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate meetings, prepare timelines, and support planning sessions.
• Advance internal communications within the team and network.
• Provide logistics support for meetings, events, and trainings in NYC or off-site.
• Prepare materials, agendas, facilitate meetings, and take notes.
• Develop evaluative tools and data collection for program measurement.
• Assist in budget tracking, invoices, and procurement processes.
• Maintain data to support measurement objectives.
• Build relationships with affiliate staff and national colleagues.
