Hudson Headwaters Health Network Inc. in The George Purdue Administrative Building is seeking a Part-Time Program Assistant for the School Based Dental program.

The role offers a proposed schedule of 20–30 hours per week with shifts varying by program needs. The assistant will support the Assistant Director in delivering school-based preventative dental services and, when not providing direct care, will manage care coordination for students needing additional dental care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum one-year experience in a program working with children.
• Working knowledge of medical documents.
• Knowledge of processes and workflows.
• Must have a valid driver license and be able to travel throughout the Network.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Dental Hygienist in the school-based program.
• Record clinical data and maintain treatment logs as dictated by the Dental Hygienist.
• Assist with administrative duties or projects for the program.
• Keep patient/student records accurate and complete.
• Maintain infection control and equipment logs.
• Escort students to treatment areas and coordinate with school staff.
• Develop and review daily schedules with school staff.
• Order supplies and maintain equipment.
• Work with program staff on issues related to the school-based program.
• Participate in all required trainings.

Job Description

Proposed Schedule: 20-30 hours per week. Shifts will vary based on the needs of the School Based Dental Program

The Program Assistant is responsible for assisting the Assistant Director in the delivery of the school based preventative oral health services. When not providing supportive service for direct care will provide care management to students identified as needing additional dental care.

• Demonstrates an understanding of the boundaries of the position


• Incorporates the Network’s mission, values and philosophy in decisions behaviors and actions


• Demonstrates initiative and seeks supervisory counsel when appropriate


• Assist the clinical Dental Hygienist in the school based dental program


• Record clinical data and complete necessary forms and treatment logs as dictated by the Dental Hygienist


• Assist Dental Hygienist in administrative duties or projects as the program designates


• Keep accurate and complete patient/student records


• Maintain all infection control and equipment logs


• Escort students to and from treatment area in school


• Daily schedule development and review with school staff


• Order supplies and ensure current maintenance of equipment


• Work directly with all program staff on all issues related to the school based program


• Participate in all required employee trainings


• Transport and set up dental equipment at each work site


• Limited chairside assisting

Requirements

The pay rate for this position is $19.89/hour.
