Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Richmond is seeking a School Age Child Care Program Assistant to support after-school activities at Adams Elementary, Atlee Station Family YMCA, and other local sites.

Work hours are Monday–Friday, 2:00pm–6:15pm, with a focus on safe, organized group supervision and positive youth engagement. You must be at least 16 years old and enjoy teamwork.

School Age Child Care Program Assistant

Locations: Adams Elementary, Atlee Station Family YMCA, Chickahominy Family YMCA, Kersey Creek Elementary, Mechanicsville Elementary, and Patrick Henry Family YMCA

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 2:00pm-6:15pm

Salary Range: $13-$14 per hour

Your Role on the Team:

• Partner with program staff to keep activities running smoothly and on schedule
• Assist with group management, transitions, and daily routines
• Set up and clean up activity spaces, snacks, and materials
• Offer encouragement and support to children as they participate in games and projects
• Help maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming environment for all participants
