Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Richmond is seeking a School Age Child Care Program Assistant to support after-school activities at Adams Elementary, Atlee Station Family YMCA, and other local sites.

Work hours are Monday–Friday, 2:00pm–6:15pm, with a focus on safe, organized group supervision and positive youth engagement. You must be at least 16 years old and enjoy teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Team player with dependable attitude.
• Enjoys working with youth.
• Able to follow directions and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Partner with staff to keep activities on schedule.
• Assist with group management and transitions.
• Set up and clean up activity spaces, snacks, materials.
• Offer encouragement to children during games and projects.
• Maintain a safe, welcoming environment for all participants.
