Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Richmond is seeking a School Age Child Care Program Assistant to support before- and after-school activities at Clover Hill Elementary, Deep Creek Elementary, Moseley Elementary, Spring Run Elementary and Winterpock Elementary in Virginia.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:45am–9:15am and/or 3:30pm–6:15pm. Salary: $13–$14 per hour. You will help run activities, manage transitions, and create a safe, welcoming environment for participating children.

Qualifications

• Friendly, dependable, and eager to contribute.
• Comfortable working in a team and taking direction.
• Interest in gaining experience with youth programs.
• At least 16 years old.

Responsibilities

• Partner with program staff to keep activities running smoothly and on schedule.
• Assist with group management, transitions, and daily routines.
• Set up and clean up activity spaces, snacks, and materials.
• Offer encouragement and support to children as they participate in games and projects.
• Help maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming environment for all participants.
