Job summary

Community College of Baltimore County seeks a marketing professional to support the HVAC Technology Program and related Engineering Technology programs under the Johnson Controls College Partnership Grant.

The role involves developing strategies to promote high-tech, high-paying careers, assisting with events, maintaining attendance records, and posting grant-related content to social media for students and partners. A degree in marketing or related fields with relevant experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Art and Design, Public Relations, Communication Arts, or similar field.
  • Experience in marketing, communications, outreach, customer service, or administrative support.
  • Experience with Adobe suite, social media, print media, and promotional products preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop marketing strategies to promote the JCI-CCBC partnership and related programs.
  • Assist with events, workshops, and professional development activities.
  • Maintain attendance records at events and award grant incentives.
  • Post content to social media and communicate grant-related activities to students and partners.
  • Support Marketing Communications staff in development of grant-related materials.
  • Be a flexible, team player with high energy and attention to detail.

Class Description

The purpose of this class is to provide a professional level ofmarketing support to the CCBC HVAC Technology Program as well asother Engineering Technology related programs under the guidelinesof the Johnson Controls International (JCI) College PartnershipGrant.

Minimum Requirements

Associate’s degree in Marketing, Art and Design, Public Relations,Communication Arts, or similar field and two (2) years’ experiencein marketing, communications, outreach, customer service, oradministrative support required or a Bachelor’s degree inMarketing, Art and Design, Public Relations, Communication Arts, orsimilar field. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience in highereducation promoting academic programs preferred. Experience withAdobe suite of products, social media, print media, and promotionalproducts preferred. K nowledge and experience using MicrosoftOffice applications; must complete and pass Microsoft testingmodules which includes Word and Excel and demonstrate the abilityto type 30 wpm.

Class Specific Essential Duties
  1. Identify and develop marketing strategies to promote JCI-CCBCpartnership, high-tech/ high-paying career opportunities in HVACTechnology and Engineering Technology, scholarships, and studentincentives.
  2. Assist with special events, workshops, and professionaldevelopment activities. including communications, arrangingspeakers, taking photos, etc.
  3. Maintain student attendance records at events to ensureappropriate awarding of grant funded incentives.
  4. Post content to social media and communicate grant-relatedactivities to current and potential students, JCI partners, andBaltimore County Public Schools (BCPS) partners.
  5. Support Marketing Communications staff in development ofgrant-related marketing and promotional materials.
  6. Be a flexible, team player with have high energy and attentionto details.

Adjunct Faculty, PartTime Associates and Full Time employees are eligible to save forretirement using the Roth 403(b) savings feature. Employees maycontribute traditional pre-tax 403(b) dollars and Roth 403(b)post-tax dollars simultaneously. The savings limits are combinedfor the Traditional 403(b) and the Roth 403(b) contributions.
  • Deferred Compensation Plan — 457(b) offered through VOYAFinancial Advisors, Inc. The 457(b) salary reduction authorizationform is needed. The form is available on SharePoint Forms/HumanResources Forms.
