Job summary

Qualifications

• Some post secondary training, or an AA or Higher preferred but not required
• Must be able to obtain Department of Transportation Certificate, including passing a physical examination
• Experience working with adolescents and young adults, including students with disabilities, in an educational or community setting desired
• Must participate in district training for van driving certification and pass exam
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Effective communication and human relations skills
• Able to attend work regularly and report to work in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

Salary and benefits based on the Program Assistant Contract, Level 7 $28.28 to $35.01 per hour, plus benefits

186-day per year work calendar

Eight hours of paid time and 30 minutes of unpaid lunch time per day, 8:00 - 4:30

Reports to Assistant Director of Student Services and Special Education Supervisor

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

Facilitates the educational programming for students at the Cooper HIgh School, working with secondary students who have disabilities and may include working with students with behavioral and personal care needs. Focus on supporting the PAES Lab, driving students from other district sites to and from Cooper High School.
