Grays Harbor College is now accepting applications for a Program Assistant – Community Education/Youth Summer Camps. This temporary, part‑time Program Assistant position supports the planning, promotion, implementation, and evaluation of Community and Continuing Education youth summer camps. Working closely with the Program Manager for Community and Continuing Education, this position assists with program development, outreach and recruitment, marketing, registration support, and day‑to‑day camp operations. The Program Assistant serves as a primary point of contact for students and families and helps ensure a positive, safe, and organized experience for all participants.
During camp operations, the Summer Camp Program Assistant serves as the site coordinator for assigned camps, supporting instructors, assisting participants and families, and helping ensure that camps operate smoothly and safely. Hours per week will vary throughout the year, with additional hours required during camp operations. In addition to summer camp responsibilities, this position may provide administrative and operational support for Community and Continuing Education programs, events, and special projects as workload and program needs allow.
This is a part‑time, non‑permanent position and not eligible for benefits. Sick leave is accrued at a rate of one hour per 40 hours worked. Please NOTE: According to Washington State Administrative Code (WAC) 357‑04‑045, if you have held a part‑time temporary position, after July 1, 2022 within Grays Harbor College, you will not qualify for the position and cannot be considered.
