Job summary

Natick Public Works Dept is seeking a Program Assistant for Birthday Parties to plan and lead birthday celebrations for children of all ages. You will create a fun, welcoming experience, lead activities, prepare materials, set up spaces, assist with decorations, and serve food and cake.

Responsibilities include coordinating logistics, promoting programs, communicating with participants, and supporting special events as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience with children or recreation programs.
• Experience supervising staff or volunteers preferred.
• CPR/FA certification required or in progress.

We’re looking for an energetic, organized, and creative individual to join our Birthday Party team! This position helps plan and lead birthday party celebrations for children of all ages while creating a fun, welcoming, and memorable experience for families. Responsibilities include leading activities and games, preparing materials, setting up party spaces, assisting families with decorations, serving food and cake, coordinating party logistics, and cleaning up following each event. This position also assists with program promotion, participant communication, and special events as needed.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with children, recreation programs, events, or a related field.
• Experience supervising staff or volunteers preferred.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Friendly, energetic, and customer service-oriented.
• Has or will obtain CPR/FA certification.

This position is Grade 2 of the Town’s Part-Time Pay Plan with an hourly range of $18.00 to $19.10 based upon qualifications and experience.
