Job summary

Lifesteps Inc. in Butler, PA is hiring a part-time Program Assistant to support adults with special needs through daily activities such as crafts, outings, and life-skills development. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., on site.

The role requires a High School Diploma/GED, a valid driver's license with the ability to travel, CPI certification (training provided), and First Aid/CPR certification (training provided). Prior experience with disabilities is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with ability to travel using agency vehicle.
• Ability to obtain CPI certification; Lifesteps provides training.
• First Aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain within six months; Lifesteps provides training.

Responsibilities

• The Program Aide supports adults with special needs through daily activities, including crafts, community outings, and life skills development.
• Observing and reporting participant progress, maintaining a safe and clean environment, and transporting participants in an Agency vehicle for community-based activities.
