Job summary

Lifesteps Inc. in Butler, PA is seeking a part-time Day Program Aide to support adults with special needs through daily activities, outings, and life skills development.

You will observe participant progress, maintain a safe and clean environment, and transport participants using an agency vehicle for community activities. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. or 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. This is a rewarding role in a nonprofit serving Western Pennsylvania for over 100 years.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Driver's license and ability to travel with agency vehicle.
• Ability to obtain CPI certification; Lifesteps provides training.
• First Aid and CPR certification, or ability to obtain within six months.
• Preferred: one year experience with adults with disabilities or in direct care.

Responsibilities

• Support adults with special needs through daily activities, crafts, community outings, and life skills development.
• Observe and report participant progress and maintain a safe, clean environment.
• Transport participants in an Agency vehicle for community-based activities.
