Job summary

The David & Lucile Packard Foundation is seeking a Program Analyst for Ocean and Global Climate Initiatives in Los Altos, CA. The role focuses on conducting research and analysis to inform grant making and strategy, and on monitoring, evaluation, and learning across the ocean and climate programs.

You will collaborate with program and evaluation staff and external consultants, prepare meeting materials, and contribute to portfolio reviews and field engagements with grantees and partners.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in policy, environment, or related sciences.
• Strong research, analysis and evaluation capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to translate complex topics into clear reports.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills with internal and external partners.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and engage diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and analysis to inform grant making, strategy development and impact understanding.
• Oversee monitoring, evaluation and learning activities with program staff and external consultants.
• Prepare materials and agendas for program, grantee meetings and field convenings; record summaries and follow-up actions.
• Support portfolio reviews and compile information across grantees for leadership and governance bodies.
• Track progress on inclusion, diversity, and equity plans within the Ocean initiative.
