Job summary

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Sacramento seeks a program coordinator with budget expertise to support civil works budgeting and program execution. You will collaborate with project managers, engineering, planning and real estate teams to produce programming documents and multi-year projections.

You will analyze policy directives, prepare Congressional justification data, and respond to OMB inquiries within strict timelines, while managing budget impacts across fiscal years.

Qualifications

• Specialized Experience: One year of budget preparation, formulation and execution.
• Time in Grade: GS-11 or equivalent experience within last 52 weeks.
• Probationary period: one year, per 5 CFR Part 315.
• Travel: 20% TDY or business travel requirement.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with project managers and engineers to prepare programming documents and budgets.
• Prepares programming and budget projections for CW appropriations and district activities for up to ten years.
• Analyzes policy directives to determine effects on district programs and procedures.
• Prepares program correspondence to ensure format, submission requirements, and budgetary policies.
• Develops Congressional justification data for CW and supports defense-related budget Requests before OMB and Congress.
• Responds to OMB inquiries within tight timeframes.
• Resolves impacts of current year changes on future budget years.
