The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) has a potential need for a Program Analyst to support Marine Forces Reserve (MARFORRES) and 4th Marine Logistics in New Orleans, LA.
Description of Responsibilities
- Collect and compile Lessons Learned from geographically dispersed Marine Reserve units across the country
- Coach and mentor units in After Action Report (AAR) production and best practices
- Capture mobilization and demobilization Lessons Learned to improve future activation cycles
- Support Reserve training events, annual training periods, and drill weekends to observe and collect Lessons Learned
- Coordinate with 4th Marine Division units and Marine Forces Reserve (MARFORRES) staff on Lessons Learned requirements and processes
- Develop and maintain Lessons Learned collection tools and templates tailored to Reserve training cycles
- Analyze Reserve‑specific trends and challenges to identify systemic issues and opportunities for improvement
- Facilitate virtual and in‑person Lessons Learned working groups with geographically dispersed units
- Prepare reports, briefings, and presentations on Reserve Lessons Learned for Marine Forces Reserve (MARFORRES) leadership
- Maintain Lessons Learned databases and tracking systems specific to Reserve operations and training
- Support integration of Reserve Lessons Learned with active component lessons learned programs
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor
Required Degree / Education / Certification
- Bachelor's degree in History, Political Science, Leadership, or related field with 5–7 years of relevant experience
- Retired or former Marine Corps Senior Enlisted (E‑8/E‑9) or Officer strongly preferred
- Graduate of Marine Corps Command & Staff College or Marine Corps Senior Enlisted Professional Military Education course (preferred)
Required Skills and Experience
- Deep understanding of Marine Corps Reserve structure, training cycles, and mobilization processes
- Experience as an Infantryman or in combat arms MOS highly desirable
- Strong coaching, mentoring, and interpersonal skills to work effectively with Reserve units
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and military planning/reporting
