We are currently seeking a Acquisition Specialist/Management Analyst, Junior to support PMA-261 at the Patuxent River, MD Program Office.The candidate will support the Acquisition Team.


Applies analytic techniques in the evaluation of program/project objectives. Analyzes requirements, status, budget and schedules.Performs management, technical, or business case analyses.Collects, completes, organizes and interprets data relating to aircraft/weapon/project acquisition and product programs.Tracks program/project status and schedules.Applies government-instituted processes for documentation, change control management and data management. A Junior level person is responsible for assisting more senior positions and/or performing functional duties under the oversight of more senior positions.


Duties and Responsibilities: Duties may include, but are not limited to:



  • Supports the preparation of documentation such as Acquisition Plans (AP), Statement of Work (SOW), Procurement Initiation Document (PID), funding documents, contract awards, and Basic Ordering Agreements.

  • Assist in the preparation, and execution of Procurement Planning Conferences (PPCs), Procurement Planning Agreements (PPAs), and Procurement Initiation Documents (PIDs) and other acquisition documentation.

  • Prepare and provide input on briefs,, correspondence, and meetings,

  • Working knowledge and experience with PMT

  • Assist with the development and assembly of acquisition/contractual strategies

  • Advise PMA/IPTs on Acquisition Regulations, Thresholds

  • Provide support to IPTs in PID generation to include support in drafting SOWs, SOOs, and PWS

  • Establish new PID numbers, and ensure required PID information/documents are uploaded and kept current in PMT

  • Coordinate Acquisition Strategy Briefs and ensure routing and approval

  • Assist IPTs with maintaining PID information in the PMT tool that is current, accurate, and complete.


Required Experience: Junior - 1 to 3 years of acquisition experience performing duties described in the functional description and duties and responsibilities section.


Desired Experience:2 years of Acquisition experience supporting NAVAIR programs.


Required Education: Junior - BA/BS degree.

  • Associate's Degree plus two (2) years additional work experience performing duties described in the functional description of the labor category may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree.

Compensation at Precise Systems is determined by various factors, including education, experience, skills, competencies, and contract-specific requirements. The salary range for this position is $74985.65 to $112478.47 (annualized USD). This range represents the standard pay for this role and is just one component of Precise Systems' total compensation package.
