Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering required.
• 5+ years in vehicle systems engineering or related feature development roles.
• 5+ years authoring and documenting system requirements with Gherkin (BDD).
• 5+ years decomposing features into requirements, interfaces, and test criteria.
• 5+ years applying automotive development processes (Feature Dev Process, V-model).
• 5+ years distinguishing system/integration issues from algorithm issues.
• 5+ years with CAN, LIN, Ethernet vehicle networks.
• 5+ years with ALM/traceability tools (Jama Jira Team Center).
• 5+ years experience with OBD and related regulations.
• Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, or C++ for data processing.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Feature Systems Engineer of record for each prognostic feature.
• Introduce prognostic features onto the Bill of Features for programs.
• Coordinate with teams on scope and timing of prognostic features.
• Apply the Feature Development Process and gates with proper documentation.
• Author system-level feature requirements using Gherkin syntax.
• Define interfaces between vehicle systems, gateway modules, and cloud services.
• Plan and execute Design Verification Plans to validate end-to-end performance.
• Sign off on feature performance and lead cross-functional triage.
• Maintain requirements traceability using ALM tools (Jama Jira Team Center).
• Communicate status and validation results to leadership and stakeholders.
