Job summary

Simmons First National Corporation in Little Rock, AR is seeking an analyst to support costing analytics. You will work with the Manager of Loan Pricing Analytics and Cost Manager to analyze costs and profitability by organization, product and customer.

Key duties include developing expense allocations for shared services, implementing costing software, building unit costing, and integrating results into the Relationship Profitability Model.

Qualifications

• BS/BA Degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
• 2–3+ years in costing, profitability, or management accounting in banking.
• Comfort with cost allocation development and profitability analysis.

Responsibilities

• Implement, support and maintain costing software.
• Develop unit costing to support profitability systems.
• Incorporate unit costing into the Relationship Profitability Model.

Position Summary

The analyst supporting costing analytics will work closely with the Manager of Loan Pricing Analytics & Cost Manager to analyze costs & expenses and how they contribute to organization, product, and customer profitability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and administer shared service expense allocations of each bank shared service to revenue-generating lines of business.
• Implement, support and maintain costing software
• Develop account and transaction level unit costing to support the bank's account profitability system.
• Incorporate unit costing into the bank's Relationship Profitability Model
• Analyze and report allocation impacts on organizational and account profitability.
• Ad-hoc expense analysis and reporting for a variety of slices of data - e.g. product, officer, relationship, etc.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Education and/or Experience
• BS/BA Degree in Business, Finance, or a related field preferred, and
• Banking finance experience: 2/3+ year experience in costing, profitability or relevant management accounting emphasis
• Comfort with technical and analytical aspects of cost allocation development and profitability analysis
• Understanding of account profitability methodologies
