Job summary

L-H Battery Company, Inc. in Jeffersonville, Ohio, seeks a Finance Analyst to collect, analyze, and interpret financial and operational data to evaluate profitability and performance. You will extract and organize data, identify trends, and translate findings into actionable insights for business improvements.

You will work with cross-functional teams across the organization, including HQ, to support day-to-day operations and decision-making, with domestic travel of 5–10% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or equivalent.
• 0-3+ years of experience.
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
• Ability to communicate with team members from diverse backgrounds and varying financial literacy.
• Ability to handle confidential data.

Responsibilities

• Analyze revenue, cost of sales, expenses, and working capital to assess profitability.
• Forecast future profits and losses and collaborate cross-functionally to resolve issues.
• Support financial accounting needs for other teams.
• Assist in compiling information for internal and external auditors.
• Conduct month-end close duties and present updates on profit, loss, and product cost.
• Prioritize payment requests in line with cash flow and procedures.

Summary

This position is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting financial and operational data to assess business profitability and performance. The role involves extracting, organizing, and defining relevant information from complex datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. The position will translate data-driven findings into actionable insights that support continuous improvements in business processes and profitability. This role will also work closely with cross-functional teams and individuals across the organization, including colleagues at the corporate headquarters, to support day-to-day business operations and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses, capital expenditures, product and customer trends, and working capital
• Forecast future profits and losses and collaborate with cross-functional teams to proactively resolve issues
• Support other teams with financial accounting needs
• Assist in compiling and providing information to internal and external auditors
• Conduct month-end close duties and present financial updates to leadership related to the company's profit and loss and product cost
• Utilize analytical and decision-making skills to prioritize payment requests in accordance with company cash flow and departmental procedures

Education/Experience

• Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent relevant experience
• 0-3+ years of experience

Knowledge/Skills

• Ability to effectively communicate with team members with different cultural backgrounds and varying levels of financial literacy
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software and advanced Excel skills
• Strong analytical, financial modeling, and reporting skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to remain confidential and handle sensitive data
• Ability to work in a fast-paced & growing environment
• Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work flexible hours as needed to support internal customers
• Ability to work flexible hours as needed to support and work with HQ and global sites
• Korean Language proficiency a plus
