Profile Technician

Successful Profile Technicians enjoy the challenges of working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while safely completing the processes associated with manufacturing order‑specific profiles beginning with our raw materials, handling quality checks, and then packaging the finished product.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensure correct materials in appropriate quantities are supplied to the production lines.
  • Successfully and timely completion of line/equipment start-ups.
  • Ability to operate the profile and compound lines in accordance with established procedures.
  • Capability to perform color and tool changeovers.
  • Knowledge and understanding of quality specifications to successfully complete frequent quality checks.
  • Ability to accurately compare color and pattern of products to quality control standards.
  • Complete adjustments to production lines in order to maintain adherence to customer specification, quality standards, and productivity of lines including both equipment and process adjustments.
  • Maintains equipment by performing daily and weekly PM’s.
  • Perform basic maintenance tasks such as repairs and replacement of parts.
  • Basic maintenance such as inspection, care, and cleaning of equipment.
  • Participation in continuous improvement projects/teams.
  • Complete and accurate documentation of production, scrap, run conditions, and other key data.
  • Ability to learn and use a computer at a basic level.
  • Forklift operation.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and process issues.
  • Packing, banding, and wrapping finished product.
  • Maintain a clean orderly work environment.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Extrusion experience a plus.

Mathematical Skills

Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
