Position Overview

The Department of Art seeks a Professor of Digital Media. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, maintaining an active creative research agenda, mentoring students, participating in service activities, and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration in art, design, and advanced computing. The Department of Art serves as the tenure home.

Performance Objectives
  • Maintain an active research agenda in the area of Visual Arts.
  • Engage with a national and/or international community of artists
  • Teach undergraduate courses and/or graduate courses.
  • Lead group critiques to provide critical feedback on conceptual and technical aspects of students' work.
  • Advise and mentor students and help develop their creative vision, technical skills and professional practices.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Department of Art and the Advanced Computing Center for the Arts and Design.
  • Work collaboratively with Faculty, Research Staff, and GRAs at ACCAD on research projects involving partners from across the University and the broader community.
  • Serve on various departmental committees.
