Job Overview

100% Local Class A CDL Needed for Environmental Hauling Company (West Palm Beach)

Join a growing, family-owned environmental services business with 50+ trucks in Florida. Merrell Bros., Inc., an Indiana-based company with 40 years of experience, has been operating in Florida for 12 years and is expanding. We are seeking reliable drivers for our operations team to work with brand new trucks and trailers, performing local, predictable, and flexible hours between Monday-Friday 6:00AM-4:00PM, with occasional half-day Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Transport loads from City utility plant to County recycling center
• Operate PTO to unload trailers and return trailers to utility plant
• Inspect trucks and trailers daily for mechanical issues
• Report issues and concerns to dispatch
• Plan routes and avoid delays
• Maintain compliance with DOT regulations
• Ensure safety of self and colleagues
• Complete load documentation (manifest)
• Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications

• Proven work experience as a truck driver
• Valid commercial driver’s license (Class A)
• Experience with electronic equipment (GPS, AVL, CB)
• Knowledge of truck driving rules and regulations
• No recent violations
• Ability to handle unexpected situations
• Willingness to submit to background and drug checks
• Truck driving school diploma/certification is a plus

Compensation and Benefits

• Starting at $23/hour, negotiable based on experience
• Weekly pay with direct deposit
• Bonuses including performance, safety, attendance, and holiday pay, totaling over $8,000 annually
