Job summary

Wachter in Mount Laurel, NJ, is seeking a technically skilled engineer to assist with the installation, configuration, and deployment of network infrastructure at customer locations. You will travel nationwide to support installations, upgrades, troubleshooting, and scheduled maintenance.

You will work closely with Senior Engineers during onsite and remote deployments, provide basic troubleshooting for networking, wireless, and security systems, and document project progress and deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation, configuration, and deployment of network infrastructure at customer locations.
• Perform equipment staging, imaging, testing, and pre-configuration activities for project implementation.
• Travel nationwide to customer sites to support installations, upgrades, troubleshooting, and scheduled maintenance.
• Work alongside Senior Engineers during onsite and remote project deployments.
• Provide basic troubleshooting for networking, wireless, and security-related technologies.
• Interact with customers, delivering professional service and maintaining client relationships.
• Conduct onsite surveys, assessments, and data collection for project planning.
• Document installation activities, service work, and project progress accurately.
• Assist in preparing site reports, project documentation, and customer-facing deliverables.
• Manage assigned tasks, maintain project schedules, and meet quality standards.
• Communicate project status, risks, and technical issues clearly to Seniors and project managers.
• Use testing/diagnostic equipment to verify system functionality and performance.
• Follow safety procedures and site protocols, and industry best practices.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and assets in working condition.
• Participate in vendor and internal trainings to expand knowledge and earn certifications.
• Support onsite and remote service activities via phone and collaboration platforms.
