Qualifications

Position Overview:

The role of the Professional Services Technician is to provide service and support for Avidity Science products, both preventatively and on an emergency basis, in accordance with Avidity Science specifications and quality standards, as well as customer requirements. The technician will be involved in the installation of Avidity Science products/systems following the company's standards. While each Technician may specialize in either service or installation, opportunities to participate in both areas are available. The hourly pay range is $27 - $33.

Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Install systems according to customer drawings.
  • Interpret drawings and instructions accurately.
  • Update as-built details and submit them promptly.
  • Supervise contractors during installation to ensure compliance and cost control.
  • Provide initial system training to customers.
  • Communicate daily with the Installation Coordinator and Project Managers.
  • Perform preventative maintenance per specifications and schedule.
  • Provide warranty and emergency support for all products.
  • Review installations and initiate system commissioning.
  • Prepare necessary reports and complete product certifications.
  • Maintain accurate van stock and adhere to procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard business tools.
  • Industry knowledge and understanding of customer needs.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications:

Associate's degree or similar trade experience, plus at least three years of experience servicing electrical or electro-mechanical systems at customer facilities.
