Job summary

BTI Security in Bethesda, MD is seeking a dedicated security professional to join our team. The role focuses on patrolling exterior and interior areas, managing access control, and monitoring surveillance to deter disruptions. CPR/First Aid certification is expected.

Qualifications

• Two years of security experience required.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Security Guard Card.
• Strong knowledge of the security industry and good communication skills.
• Customer service mindset and ability to present information to all levels.

Responsibilities

• Patrolling and monitoring exterior and community areas on premises.
• Access control of entrances and exits and departure of employees and visitors.
• Monitoring surveillance cameras for disruptions or unlawful activities.
• Providing detailed reports on daily activities and incidents.
• Knowledgeable and able to use magnetometer and X-ray machines.
• Using two-way radios for communication.
• Performing CPR or first aid when needed.
• Ensure credentials are maintained per contract requirements.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Patrolling and monitoring exterior and community areas on premises.
• Access control of entrances and exits and departure of employees and visitors.
• Monitoring surveillance cameras for any disruptions or unlawful activities
• Providing detailed reports on daily activities and/or incidents that may have occurred.
• Knowledgeable and able to effectively use magnetometer and X-ray machines.
• Using provided communication devices such as two-way radios in a clear and concise manner
• Performing CPR or first aid when needed
• Ensure credentials are maintained per contract requirements.
• Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor and/or Project Manager.

Minimum Requirements

• Two (2) years of experience security experience.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Security Guard Card.
• Strong relevant knowledge of the security industry
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must have a customer service-driven mindset
• Ability to communicate effectively and present information to all levels of internal and external customers
