Job summary

Pitt County Schools is seeking a School Bus Driver to transport students in accordance with Federal and State laws and district policy. Reports to the Bus Supervisor and supervises no one.

A High School diploma or equivalent is required along with a CDL with an S restriction, medical and physical evaluations, and NC bus certification. Responsibilities include safe driving, maintaining student order, completing daily inspections, logging, and participating in ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Must meet NC School Bus Certification requirements.
• Must hold CDL with S restriction and be able to pass medical and physical evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Drive a school bus safely and professionally.
• Maintain order and discipline per policy.
• Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report defects.
• Complies with all Federal and State laws and local rules and policies.
• Maintain logs and complete reports as requested.
• Participate in training and workshops.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
