Job summary

Pitt County Schools in North Carolina is seeking a School Bus Driver to transport students in accordance with Federal Laws, State Laws, and Pitt County Board of Education Policy. The role requires a High School diploma and a valid Class B CDL with S and P endorsements, plus the ability to pass a medical examination and a Physical Performance Evaluation.

Qualifications

• Must meet NC Bus Certification and Pitt County Board of Education Policy.
• Must maintain Class B CDL with S&P endorsements.
• Must pass a medical examination per NC DMV and Pitt County Schools.
• Must complete Physical Performance Evaluation per NC DMV and Pitt County Schools.

Responsibilities

• Drive a school bus safely and professionally.
• Maintain order and discipline per policy.
• Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report defects.
• Comply with all Federal, State, and Local Laws and Policies.
• Maintain logs and complete reports as requested.
• Participate in training and workshops.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
