RPGFL in Tampa, FL is seeking a skilled painter's helper to perform interior and exterior painting for commercial buildings. You will select proper tools, apply coatings, and maintain equipment to ensure high-quality finishes across various surfaces.

Responsibilities include surface preparation, masking, protecting work areas, keeping the site clean, and coordinating with the foreman to address surface conditions and optimize material usage.

• Selecting and using the correct tools for various tasks.
• Applying varnish, polyurethane, primer, paint, caulk and other coatings.
• Masking and preparing surfaces for coatings.
• Cleaning and maintaining equipment by removing all traces of paint.
• Repairing imperfections.
• Perform exterior and interior painting of commercial buildings, drywall, steel, equipment, structures, etc.
• Preparing and protect work surfaces with drop cloths and masking.
• Keeping the work area clean.
• Loading, unloading, preparing and cleaning of job site materials, and tools.
• Providing quality work and taking corrective action for conditions that may affect job quality.
• Setting up and executing tasks on scaffolding and ladders.
• Communicating to foreman/supervisor if surface to be painted are not in proper condition to provide a quality finish.
• Using materials and resources efficiently.

• Selecting and knowing how to use the correct tools for various tasks
  • Brush, roller, striping machine, taping and masking equipment, caulk gun, spray equipment, air compressor, hand tools, ladder, scaffolding, etc.
• Responsible for the application of varnish, polyurethane, primer, paint, caulk and other coatings
• Mask and prepare surfaces for coatings
• Clean and maintain equipment by removing all traces of paint
