Job summary

RPGFL is seeking a skilled painter to perform exterior and interior painting of commercial buildings. You will prepare surfaces, mask areas, and apply coatings using brushes, rollers, spray equipment, and associated tools.

Responsibilities include maintaining clean work areas, loading/unloading materials, and communicating surface conditions to supervisors for quality finishes. Candidates should be comfortable working on scaffolding and ladders as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to select and use correct painting tools for jobs.
• Prepare surfaces for coatings and protect areas not to be painted.
• Experience with exterior and interior painting is preferred.

Job description

• Selecting and knowing how to use the correct tools for various tasks
  • Brush, roller, striping machine, taping and masking equipment, caulk gun, spray equipment, air compressor, hand tools, ladder, scaffolding, etc.
• Responsible for the application of varnish, polyurethane, primer, paint, caulk and other coatings
• Mask and prepare surfaces for coatings
• Clean and maintain equipment by removing all traces of paint
• Repair imperfections
• Perform exterior and interior painting of commercial buildings, drywall, steel, equipment, structures, etc. in a professional manor
• Prepare and protect work surfaces with drop cloths and masking
• Responsible for keeping the work area clean
• Responsible for loading, unloading, preparing and cleaning of job site materials, and tools.
• Provide quality work and take corrective action for conditions that may affect job quality
• Responsible for the setup and execution of tasks on scaffolding and ladders
• Communicate to foreman/supervisor if surface to be painted are not in proper condition to provide a quality finish
• Use materials and resources efficiently
