Morrison Mahoney LLP in Boston seeks a full-time Associate Attorney to handle civil litigation matters, including professional liability, malpractice and real estate liability. Ideal candidates have 1–10 years of experience and strong advocacy, with MA and RI bar admission.

We offer a flexible hybrid work arrangement to support work-life balance and a competitive salary range of $110,000-$170,000, commensurate with experience.

Formación

• A JD from an ABA-accredited law school and admission to the MA and RI Bars are required.
• At least one year of civil litigation experience, including Massachusetts and Rhode Island courts.
• Self-starter with strong advocacy skills and ability to draft and argue dispositive motions.
• Ability to perform legal research, manage discovery, and communicate effectively.

ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY - Hybrid

Areas of focus include professional liability, legal malpractice, architects and engineers, insurance agent/broker liability, real estate professional liability, and insurance coverage. A Day in the Life of an Associate Attorney

As an Associate Attorney at Morrison Mahoney LLP, your role is dynamic and engaging, offering a perfect mix of independent responsibilities and collaborative teamwork. You will manage your own caseload from inception to resolution, drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests while meticulously adhering to deadlines. Your days will be enriched by preparing for and attending depositions, hearings, and trials, granting you invaluable courtroom experience. Collaboration is crucial in this role, where you'll engage closely with clients, experts, and fellow attorneys to devise effective litigation strategies. Clear and regular communication with clients will be essential, as you provide them with updates and interim status reports on their cases.

Additionally, you'll conduct in‑depth legal research, preparing memoranda to bolster case strategies, while working alongside partners and senior attorneys to ensure seamless case management. This multifaceted position promises a fulfilling career path in the legal field.

What Matters Most

• A Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA‑accredited law school and admission to both the Massachusetts and Rhode Island State Bars are required.
• You should possess at least one (1) year of prior civil litigation experience, including experience practicing Massachusetts state and federal courts and Rhode Island courts.
• You should be a self‑starter with strong advocacy skills. Proficiency in drafting and arguing dispositive motions, along with the ability to perform legal research and respond to discovery requests, is crucial.
• Taking and defending fact witness and expert depositions will also be part of your role, making attention to detail and effective communication are key attributes for success in this position.
