Job summary

R. Joe Harris & Associates, Inc. is seeking a Professional Land Surveyor to drive land development and civil site design projects. You will partner with engineers to deliver accurate surveys from conception to completion.

The role requires a SC licensure or ability to obtain it, a BS in surveying/geomatics, and 2+ years of experience. Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GPS/GNSS is essential, with mentoring responsibilities and opportunities for growth.

• Bachelor's degree in surveying, geomatics, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in land surveying, ideally with land development and civil site design projects.
• Licensed surveyor or ability to obtain licensure in South Carolina.

Responsibilities

• Lead surveying for land development and civil site work projects, from boundary surveys to construction staking.
• Provide survey data that supports grading plans, utilities, stormwater systems, and roadway designs.
• Collaborate closely with civil engineers during planning, design, permitting, and construction phases.
• Utilize GPS, robotic total stations, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D for efficient, high-quality deliverables.
• Mentor and guide junior staff while serving as a technical resource for project teams and clients.
