Job summary

Atlas Surveying, Inc. in Greenville, SC seeks a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) to coordinate daily work, supervise field crews, and help plan contracts for services such as boundary, topographic, ALTA surveys, As-Builts, and construction layouts.

A current SC PLS license is required with five years post-licensure experience. Knowledge of GPS and data collectors, OSHA safety regs, and public agency codes is essential; continuing education is expected. Opportunities for advancement are available.

Qualifications

  • Current South Carolina PLS license is required.

  • Establish objectives/goals, costs and assets utilization for projects.
  • Respond to inquiries from clients and authorities.
  • Assemble field data, perform survey calculations, and prepare legal descriptions.
  • Provide quality control and quality assurance on all project work.
  • Prepare and monitor project budgets and billing of clients.
  • Approve and seal professional surveying documents and survey certifications.
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and written.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Atlas Surveying, Inc. is an industry-leading professional land surveying firm with offices in the Savannah/Hilton Head, Charleston, Charlotte, and Greenville/Spartanburg areas. We use conventional tools, robots, and drones to conduct surveys, perform certifications, and provide real-time GPS and aerial mapping. We serve a client base of real estate developers and construction companies, as well as architectural and engineering firms.

Atlas Surveying, Inc. is accepting resumes for the position of Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in the GREENVILLE, SC office.

A CURRENT PLS LICENSE IN SOUTH CAROLINA IS REQUIRED.

This position provides day-to-day coordination of work and supervision of the survey staff and field crews. This position also requires strategic planning and the ability to negotiate, market, develop, and implement contracts and or subcontracts for survey services. To include but not limited to; topographic, boundary, and ALTA surveys, As-Builts, platting and construction layouts, Metes and Bounds Descriptions. The position is required to learn and be proficient in office practices, standards and various software programs. Must be dependable, team and goal oriented, client focused and forthright in resolving issues. Positions of advancement within the company are available.

Qualifications & Key Skills:
  • Licensed in the state ofSOUTH CAROLINA is REQUIRED.
  • Additional State Licensing, including NC, GA and FL are a plus.
  • Five years of land survey post-licensure experience required.
  • Knowledge in use of GPS and electronic data collectors and monitors.
  • Proficient in OSHA/Safety regulations.
  • Up-to-Date knowledge of public agency codes, processes and standards.
  • Must maintain continuing education requirement for licensure.
