Job summary

Owens Realty Services is hiring a General Cleaner in Marietta to perform custodial work across a facility of about 4,500–5,000 sq ft per hour, with a 8:00 am–5:00 pm, Monday–Friday schedule. The role requires adherence to cleaning standards, safety protocols and proper handling of cleaning supplies.

The position includes standard custodial duties such as restroom sanitation, trash removal, dusting, vacuuming and surface cleaning while wearing a uniform and safety footwear.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Six months of related experience is preferred.
• Able to understand written and verbal instructions in English.
• Able to apply common sense understanding to follow instructions that were provided.

Responsibilities

• Performs all assigned tasks professionally to reflect company integrity.
• Cleans administrative offices, lobbies, breakrooms, lounges, corridors, bathrooms, elevators and stairways.
• Cleans and sanitizes restrooms; stocks supplies like toilet paper, towels and soap.
• Cleans and dusts furniture, fixtures and windows; moves furniture as directed.
• Empties trash, replaces liners; separates recyclables as required.
• Cleans telephones using germicidal cleaners where applicable.
• Vacuums traffic areas and cleans visible debris on carpets.
• Cleans light switches, doors, walls and tops of furniture.
• Cleans and polishes tables, benches, chairs; cleans stainless surfaces.
• Removes cobwebs and secures area when mopping or performing hazardous duties.
• Locks/unlocks doors; ensures rooms are unoccupied before turning off lights.
• Reports to work on time wearing company uniform and safety shoes.
• Identifies safety hazards and reports them to supervisor/manager.
• Follows safety procedures including PPE and infection control practices.
• Works a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Keeps cleaning carts stocked and secured; leaves closets locked.
• Ensures corridors are clear of hazards and equipment.
• Leaves equipment clean and ready for use at end of shift.
• Completes additional duties as assigned.
