Job description

We are looking to hire a Professional Engineer II who has the expertise in the study, funding, design, and construction of municipal projects for public entities. In this role, you can expect to work on a variety of projects, including roadway, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, water, and other related infrastructure.

Duties
  • Serves as Lead Engineer and Engineer of Record on projects with moderate supervisor support.
  • Directs and/or prepares funding applications, engineering reports, calculations, construction plans, specifications, project bid documents, and administers the construction contract.
  • Communicates (verbal and written) with clients, government entities, and contractors as required to execute projects.
  • Participate and/or lead project presentations, interviews, project meetings, and conferences as requested.
  • Responsible for overseeing and mentoring personnel assigned to projects in which they are the lead engineer.
  • Execution of several projects simultaneously while meeting project timelines.
  • Compliance with the Moore Engineering Quality Management Plan.
  • Travels as required for project meetings, client meetings, or to construction sites.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer at job location or ability to obtain registration within six months.
  • Eight+ years of experience in civil engineering preferred.
  • Knowledge of Civil3D software for design.
  • Knowledge of financing programs in ND and/or MN preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable.
